January 2024…Over dinner in London with a few friends, the conversation soon turned to signing up for a tuktuk adventure happening in December 2024 traversing 3000kms from Rameshwaram in South India to Bhuj in West India. This was all in aid of charity, a brilliant cause, run by Shishukunj International, to expand educational facilities to an already established school in Bhuj.

January 2025…tuktuk withdrawal symptoms certainly….It has been a few weeks now since we completed this adventure….lots of words come to mind to describe this adventure driving through the mayhem of Indian roads….

“crazy”…definitely yes….who wants to sit 9 hrs every day for 12 days in these little tuktuks?....even the many people we met along the way shook their heads in disbelief as we explained the craziness of our adventure...would I sign up to this again?...absolutely...in a heartbeat!

“fun”…no doubt…tuktuk’s a great way to see India as you are taking it at a much slower pace…with karak chai along the way...and making new friendships as we went through the up and downs together…

“challenging”…absolutely…Indian roads test your resilience every minute
